Saab goes into insolvency

Saab is forced to declare insolvency in the end, because General Motors opposed the Chinese takeover plans from Zhejiang Youngman Lotus Cars. Unfortunately the date of 19 December will remain in history as the date on which the Swedish Saab Automobile AB filed for insolvency.

Almost two years now, General Motors wanted to throw Saab into insolvency, but gave up the idea in favor of the takeover by the Swedish brand car manufacturer Spyker. It remains to be seen whether Saab will be buried permanently or will be reborn from its own ashes, as Phoenix concept gave to understand at Geneva this year.
