The Japanese from Nissan will enter the market with a range of sports models, prefigured with the Nissan Juke concept presented at the Tokyo Motor Show. Nissan will attack the car market with a sports division, a move similar to OPC division from Opel or RS division of Renault. First appeared in 1984, being the abbreviation for Nissan Motorsports, Nismo is known to the motorsport fans, thanks to victories by Japanese cars in the FIA GT1 World Championship circuits and 24-hour race at Le Mans. So far, Nismo was not involved in developing the company’s Japanese production models, except for very rare special editions, such as coupe based on Z and GT-R 370. Nissannismo strategy for the division, however, is somewhat more complex than it seems at first sight.
